The Presidential Preference Primary originally scheduled for April 28, 2020 has been postponed until August 11, 2020.  All Absentee Ballot Applications currently on file will be honored for the August 11th Primary.  

Those who need to register to vote in this primary, should have a registration submitted by August 5, 2020.  Connecticut allows online registration.

Those who are registered have missed the deadline to change party affiliation, which is 90 days before the primary, but still may change their affiliation for future elections.


Those practicing social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic may vote in this primary using an absentee ballot.  Please note, the ballot must be mailed to the Town Clerk arriving before the close of voting August 11, 2020 or returned, in person, to the Town Clerk by August 10, 2020. To request an absentee ballot, an application must be submitted to the Town Clerk.  The Town Clerk will begin accepting absentee ballot applications July 21, 2020.

For those voting in person, polling places in Killingly are determined by the resident's voting district.  Killingly has 5 voting districts.  Voting districts are assigned specific polling places.  Call the Town Clerk's office at : 860-779-5307, for information about where your district votes.
